Differential Calculus (MATH 184, section 104)

• Nov 28: Office hours during the exam break:
  • Dec 5 (Mon), 1:00-2:30

• Nov 21:The office hours of Nov 21 will take place from 5:00 to 6:30 instead of 4:00 to 5:30.
• Nov 21: Question 4 of Homework 10 has been changed.
• Nov 4: Changes to office hours in the following two weeks:
  • Office hours on Nov 7 (Mon) will be moved to 2:30 to 4:30.
  • Office hours on Nov 10 (Thu) and Nov 14 (Mon) are cancelled. Instead, I will have office hours on Nov 16 (Wed) from 9:00 to 11:00.
  • Office hours on Nov 17 (Thu) are slightly extended and will take place from 9:30 to 11:30.
• Oct 14: No homework are due for Oct 21. Instead, homework 6 will be released on Oct 16 and will be due on Oct 28. Enjoy your homework-free weekend!
• Oct 1: Starting from Homework 4 (and including) all homework will submitted via Crowdmark. Submission of homework in class will no longer be premitted except in indivual special cases.
  Everytime a new homework is assigned you will receive an e-mail from Crowdmark with a link to the questions and instructions how to upload your answers. Once the homework are marked (for the entire class), you will receive an e-mail with your grade and a link to your marked homework. Please inform me in case you do not receive these e-mail notifications.
  You will need a camera or a scanner to take photos of your homework in order to upload them to Crowdmark. Please inform me if you cannot access a scanner or a camera.
• Sep 27: Change to office hours on the weeks of Oct 3-9, Oct 17-23, Oct 24-31: On these weeks the office hours of Mon 4:00-5:30 will be moved to Wed 9:00-10:30 at LSK 300B. The office hours on Thusday remain unchanged.
• Sep 12: Change to office hours: Henceforth, instead of Wed 3:00-4:30pm, come on Thu 9:30-11:00.
• Sep 9: Question 2 on Homework 1 was removed on Sep 9 2:25pm since we did not cover the relevant material yet.

Grading Scheme

The grade is composed of:

• Final exam (50%)
• Midterm 1 (10%)
• Midterm 2 (10%)
• Webwork (10%)
• Workshop (10%)
• Homework (10%)

All components of the final grade may be subject to scaling.

Homework are released every Friday and are due on the following Friday at 1:00pm (submit in class).
All homework assignments have equal weight.
The homework with the lowest mark will be dropped when computing the total homework grade.
