University Fees -- Berkeley and ANU vs Those Projected for English Universities. (April 27, 2011)

Beginning in Northern Autumn of 2012 English Universities will be permitted to charge up to £9,000 (US$14,900, A$13,700) tuition per year and according to the Guardian: "The clustering of English university fees at £9,000 is of obvious significance to would-be students, and is also deeply embarrassing for ministers who had promised that such stratospheric levies would be the exception, not the rule."

It may be of interest to compare the current fees for undergraduates attending the University of California, Berkeley (residents) and that of the Australian National University with that of Oxford, Cambridge and the rest of the "cluster" of those English institutions planning to charge the maximum £9,000 per annum undergraduate fee.
