Eight Cornell Graduate Students Write to Nature on Their Effort to Create a "State of the Planet Course". (June 14, 2007)

Eight graduate students, have created a campus-wide 'State of the Planet' course at Cornell University under the mentorship of faculty members Tom Eisner and Mary Lou Zeeman. There aim is stated succinctly on the home page of their course's web site: "If we are to achieve global sustainability, society needs broadly educated citizens making informed decisions about the resources they consume, the leaders they vote for, and the lives they live."

Below TFW reprints in full their letter to the June 14, 2007 issue of Nature in the hope that their initiative may show the way for more than one Australian University to follow.
