New South Wales Chief Scientist is to Lead Independent Review on Coal Seam Gas Activities. (March 26, 2013)

Professor Mary O'Kane, New South Wales Chief Scientist and Engineer, was requested on February 21, 2013 by the state's Premier, Barry O'Farrell, to conduct "an independent review of coal seam gas activities in NSW with a focus on the impacts of these activities on human health and the environment".

 

To provide input to the review Professor O'Kane is now soliciting submissions for an initial report scheduled for submission to the Premier by July 2013.

 

The due date for public submissions is April 26, 2013 which should be emailed to "The Chief Scientist and Engineer's Review Team: csg.review@chiefscientist.nsw.gov.au.
