Group of Eight Wins 71% of ARC Discovery Grant Funding. (November 9, 2012)

In the latest round of  ARC funding a total of 1014 grants were awarded to researchers in 32 of the nation's universities totalling $359 million of which, $254 million are for Discovery projects.

The table below shows that the top eight universities were the Group of Eight which garnered just under 71% of the funding for Discovery projects. To suggest that ARC funding for basic research is not highly concentrated with researchers at the Go8 is laughable.
