US Government Report Questions International Space Station Research Capability. (December 29, 2009)

Dated November 25 the report, INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION: Significant Challenges May Limit Onboard Research, by the United States Government Accountability Office (GAO) has only recently been made public. As the construction phase of the International Space Station (ISS) is drawing to a close, the new GAO report politely but cogently criticises NASA's plans for research at the ISS.

Below are reproduced a tabulation of the Exploration Systems Mission Directorate (ESMD) research undertaken in 2008 vs 2002 followed by the "Highlights" of the GAO's findings.
