Presentations by the Royal Society. (April 17, 2008)

Going back over five years the Royal Society of London has made available an archive of presentations made under its auspices.

Many are available as video plus slide presentation and the subject categories range from the history of science to physics and mathematics.

As you can see from the graphics, the presentations are split to give the viewer a feeling of presence but the slides (or PowerPoint presentations) are shown on the left. The viewer has the great advantage over the live audience present during the lecture of pausing to allow time to take in the text and then allowing the speaker to continue or even to back him up for another go.

This particular lecture, Finding Moonshine, was given on February 21, 2008 and is found in the Physics and Mathematics section.
