The unifying theme of the workshop is permutation
patterns. The topics addressed will include enumeration problems, excluded
pattern problems, study of the involvement order, algorithms for computing with permutation patterns, applications and
generalizations of permutation patterns, and others
The workshop will include a number of invited talks, as well as many
informal presentations. Ample time will be left free for informal
discussions, open problems and just thinking.
There will be no registration fee for the workshop.
Extended abstracts (at most 5 pages) of papers to be presented at
the workshop should be sent to the Program Chairs by 30 April 2005.
The workshop will be hosted by the Departments of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Haifa
and supported by the Caesarea Edmond Benjamin de Rothschild Foundation Institute for
Interdisciplinary Applications of Computer Science.
Participants will be accommodated in nearby hotels. The details of local arrangements will follow in our second announcement.
