A Scientist's Wage and Purchasing Power Parity. (November 29, 2007)

A quick check of the graphic which is published in today's  Nature shows that average Australian salaries for its researchers adjusted for cost of living is on a par with the best on Earth.

Which really leaves just getting it right as regards infrastructure, resources and appropriate staffing for our universities and public research institutes. So perhaps our newly installed federal government will now get on with it.
