University of California (Berkeley) Courses Hit YouTube. (October 5, 2007)

The University of California, Berkeley has made available on a dedicated channel on YouTube some 300 hours of videoed lectures ranging from Bio Engineering: Structural Aspects of Biomaterials and Physics 10: Physics for Future Presidents to Introduction to Non-violence - Spring 2007. An introduction to the science of non-violence, mainly as seen through the life and work of Mahatma Gandhi.

 

So far the greatest hit has been been Sergey Brin's  forty minute "Google and Life" from the course Search Engines: Technology, Society, and Business.

 

The University plans to frequently add videos to the channel, which was launched on Wednesday. The current playlist consists of eight courses consisting of up to forty videoed lectures, some 201 videos in all.
