Australia's Climate Council is Up and Running --Banks $1M -- Issues First two Reports. (October 7, 2013)
With the Abbott government's abolition of the Climate Commission its Council has formed the The Climate Council -- an independent non-profit organisation funded by donations from the public. Its stated mission "is to provide authoritative, expert advice to the Australian public on climate change".
Last week the Climate Council announced that it has raised the one-million dollars needed to defray its annual operating expenses.
