The Times Higher Education Rankings for 2012/13 Have Been Released. (September 4, 2012)

When it comes to the planet's top universities, there is only marginal movement of the deck chairs as regards the top echelon of institutions, especially if you assess the scoring rather than the rankings.

The Times Higher Education rankings of the Top 20:

 

 

Note that the top 10 scores cover 5.1 points in the overall scoring.

 

On the other had when you get down to the lower end, there is considerable spread in rankings between THE,  ARWS, and  QS rankings, which suggests that while the scoring criteria and weightings may differ for the different systems, when it comes to those at the top they tend to score universally well, while at the lower levels one is dealing with what might be considered something of a curates egg.
