Science Meets Parliament Campaigns for Credibility in Canberra. (June 20, 2011)

Over the next two days the Federation of Australian Scientific and Technological Societies (FASTS) brings some "200 scientists from all over the country for face-to-face meetings and forums with Parliamentarians in Canberra through Science Meets Parliament. For one of the days, Federal Parliament lives and breathes science in a series of meetings and events which also allow the scientists unparalleled opportunities to witness national decision making at first hand, and to inform this process on important scientific issues".

According to FASTS this year "scientists have united in a new campaign to defend their credibility amid fresh death threats aimed at key climate change scientists.
