We invite you and your colleagues to join us for an evening of networking, fine
food and wine and interesting conversation amongst the company of peers from the
vibrant and exciting Science Industry
The annual Science Industry Australia Senior Managers Dinner will be held on
Thursday August 12, 2010.
Our special guest for the evening will be Dr Geoff Garrett AO, Visiting Fellow
in Innovation, ANU and formerly Chief Executive, CSIRO.

About: Dr. Geoff Garrett
Geoff has recently
completed 8 years as Chief Executive and member of the Board of CSIRO, one of
the world's largest and most diverse national research organisations, with close
to 6 500 staff across 55 sites in Australia and an annual turnover exceeding $1
billion
Geoff is presently a part-time Visiting Fellow in Innovation with the Australian
National University (ANU) and is the co-author with Sir Graeme Davies,
Vice-Chancellor of the University of London, of the soon-to-be-published
Herding Cats - Being advice to aspiring academic and research
leaders.
He lectures in leadership and change management and provides coaching support in
these areas to academics and to senior officers of the Australian Public
Service. He is currently also engaged with an International Review for the US
National Science Foundation of the major, 24 country Integrated Ocean Drilling
Program.
