PMSEIC Concentrates on the Science of Learning and New Terms of Reference are Announced. (March 18, 2010)

The 21st meeting of the Prime Minister's Science, Engineering and Innovation Council was convened this morning for the first time in over nine months. Whether or not you consider that the Council is making (or being allowed to make) a significant contribution to furthering science, engineering and innovation for Australia... well let's start with the Media release to be followed by the conclusions of the 58-page report Transforming Learning and the Transmission of Knowledge and then the short summary available on the PMSEIC Website.

Note particularly the "New Terms of Reference for PMSEIC". In the first instance perhaps a reasonable indication of how seriously Mr Rudd and his government take those tems will be the frequency with which the council's members meet and how often they meet with the Prime Minister and his Deputy.

There is no mention of exactly who was present at PMSEIC 21 and for how long.
