The US President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) March 12th Meeting. (March 16, 2010)

US President Barack Obama's Council on Science and Technology (PCAST) meets at bimonthly intervals, publishes its agendas well in advance, is open to the public, and invites public contributions. In addition the proceedings are webcast and  then archived.

In sharp contrast Australia's Prime Minister's Science, Engineering and Innovation Council's (PMSEIC) meetings are held less than twice yearly, the agendas are made available following the meetings, they are not open to the public, do not invite contributions from the public and are not webcast. The Chief Scientist's website lists the next meeting under the "EVENTS" menu as being convened on Thursday March 18, 2010. PMSEIC's last meeting was held on June 5, 2009.
