President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) Bimonthly Meetings. (February 18, 2010)

A possible proxy for the importance heads of government place on science may be the frequency of meetings of their scientific advisory councils.

The Australian Prime Minister's Scientific, Engineering and Innovation Council (PMSEIC) last met on June 5, 2009. The date of its next meeting is currently being determined.

The US President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) last met on January 7, 2010.
