Sixty "Path-Breaking" Papers from the Royal Society, 1666 - 2008. (December 11, 2009)

The Royal Society's trailblazing.royalsociety.org, website contains 60 papers from 1666 through 2008. Included are Newton's experiments showing white light is a blend of other colours, van Leeuwenhoek's discovery of bacteria in rainwater, musical examinations of the very young Mozart and a test of Einstein's theory of general relativity.

Here, for example, the first page of an 11-page paper sent by the Honourable Daines Barrington, F.R.S to Mathew Maty, M.D. Sec. R.S.
