Like Those of a Jurassic Dinosaur Brendan Nelson's Footprints are Imbedded in DEST's Substratum. (March 8, 2006)

The Australian's Dorothy Illing reports that it's a legacy of Brendan Nelson's, micro-managerial obsession with university affairs. Two of the University of Adelaide's students requested and were given permission to undertake a joint honours project.

Not on.   Illing reports, "In Canberra-speak the students are doing new courses. So, under the new rules, the university has to wait for the commonwealth to approve the courses. That means it can't enrol the students until the courses are approved. In the meantime, the two virtual students can't use the library, access online material and do all the things real students do."

It's reminiscent of what Frank Worral told Wes Hall when he was about to bowl the last over in the 1960 tied test at Brisbane.

"Just remember, Winfield, I'm watching you."
